Premium Acrylic Wool Yarn – 45g | Soft, Vibrant & Customizable Colors

I wasn’t sure about this brand. But I tried it and placed an additional 2 orders after the first. I like how it’s packaged in compact skeins, and ready to go. Easy to use and a dream to knit with. The colors are nice. There’s a dusty tinge to the colors that I like. Has an earthy and organic vibe. I’ll buy again.

This yarn was great to work with. I’m a newer knitter and wasn’t sure how the quality would be, but Knit Picks yarns, in general tend to be pretty good now that I’ve experienced a few of their yarn types. The price is amazing for the quantity and the wool itself isn’t too bad against my bare arms. I usually wear at least a t shirt under this sweater. Wouldn’t recommend this yarn for people who are very sensitive to wool since it’s slightly more rustic.

This is lovely yarn that's very easy to work with. Great deal for wool. However, I wouldn't say it's a worsted weight, it's noticeably thinner. Also, I ordered the neutrals pack and instead of the lighter tan/peach color shown in the photos, I got a double of the cloud (cream color). I'd have given a lower star rating for these minor issues, but it works up smooth as butter!

I am teaching a co-op class for homeschoolers and we thought we'd try our hand at dyeing yarn with koolaid. Firstly - this yarn dyes beautifully, even with koolaid. That said...as soon as you get this yarn wet to dye it, it smells VILE. A couple of my students were gagging; I had a headache by the end. It was awful...like they didn't process or pre-wash this yarn at all or something. I've hand washed it, soaked it in vinegar and left it in the freezer and it STILL smells bad. Half my class was begging me not to continue dyeing the yarn next week and frankly, I can't blame them!!!UPDATE 10/23/23:I soaked them for a couple hours in a hot oxi-clean and baking soda bath in my kitchen sink and *FINALLY* the smell is gone!!!

I really liked these and they were a great value. You do need to be aware that they are not full-sized skeins in this package, but more like sample sizes for weaving or craft projects, maybe children's hats or mittens.I used them for card weaving, and was a little nervous about using them for a continuous warp weave because several reviewers had said they had breaks in them, and knots do not work in weaving. I found few to none had any breaks at all. I easily wound them into two smaller balls (for example) and used them in a warping box for 6-9 foot long tablet weaving with two or three colors. That example won't make a lot of sense to anyone who doesn't weave, but my point is, they were not all chopped up ends, and were quite consistently usable and soft, and pleasant to work with.

I like how soft this yarn is. It’s easy to work with. What I don’t like is how it’s packaged. I wish it was more yards per skeins. I also wish I could get more of the mustard color solo.

Wonderful wool, great texture and feel. The yellow isn’t lemon yellow. It is more of a gold. The purple is a duller color. Neither is great for the rainbow effect I wanted to use. I ended up buying purple.

This is nice for beanies. It’s not as soft as some, but it is a good price and the color is beautiful. I have made a knit and crochet and I thought the knit was a little nicer.

This quantity is enough for a raglan sweater up to XL. I love the colors in this: Rust orange black.

The yarn is supple. I love this. Unfortunately it isn't a true 4 weight. I purchased enough to match a swatch, but it's not. However I love this yarn!!! BTW it's not a tension issue lol. I will post a pic when I'm done with my project :)

I purchased because I needed wool in this beautiful color. I was very satisfied with the color. The quality seems great, very uniform and very clean. Has a typical wool feel to it. I would purchase more.

I used to like this yarn. Now, it’s too expensive for a basic wool. I don’t buy from knit pics anymore. Too pricey for what u get.

Great intro wool! I'd say it's a bit thinner than worsted though, closer to DK weight. Also color is more of a medium light (elephant?) grey than the dark charcoal pictured.

Bought this yarn to make a men’s vest. This is 100% Peruvian Highland Wool, worsted weight in cobblestone heather. Each skein is 50g and 110 yards. It creates a lightweight but warm knit. The yarn was easy to work with using both metal and bamboo knitting needles. I have 3 skeins left. The yarn did not split and was easy to weave in the ends.Update - made a cowl for myself with the remaining skein.

I'm very impressed with this yarn. I've bought many colors over the past two years and it's become my go-to yarn for hats and for fulling knit handbags. The colors are deeply saturated and the staples are very long. Flexible and durable. I love this yarn for so many reasons. Well priced, strong, and flexible. Just make sure not to wash it in the machine unless you want it to felt up and shrink.

This yarn was too expensive in my opinion and not soft, it's a lightweight yarn though and for those that like wool yarn its a good option, it was slightly thinner than im used to for Worsted weight but not bad, splits a little but also not bad if you know what your doing, beautiful colors though. I won't buy again, because I prefer soft cotton, but I do recommend this for those looking for a good wool yarn.. it's just not my cup of tea. I made this beanie and it used the whole skein of light blue, so one skein is almost enough for an adult size beanie using half double crochet and a 4mm hook.

Beautiful colors, excellent “hand”. I’ve use this will for several projects: a jacket/sweater, a regular sweater, hat, headband, and they are beautiful. I’m working now on a sweater that calls for a double strand for a tweed result:
